Can you exclude a section from the menu?

I want to exclude a section (or two) from the menu so they are not accesible to the general public without a direct link to them either being pasted into the browser address bar or clicked from a link within an email - is this possible? Reason I want to do this is for an email campaign that is only for our mailing list. The products in the email campaign are only available to our mailing list.

    TIA

    Hi Marc,

you could either hard code the navigation to remove the auto-indexing of the pages / sections or better would be to create the "hidden" pages outside of Actinic with unguessable names and then post the link in emails to take people straight to the page.

If you go down the route of external pages don't make them obvious eg: may_offers.htm as people may then guess at june_offers.htm and they may not be entitled to receive the June offers

      Hi there

Like what Jont has written, hardcode your own navigation button or simply create hidden pages. Also within the Advance User guide on page 60, you have "Preventing Retail Customers from Entering Certain Sections in your Store". This may also be useful for you.
