Product Components showing on checkout

Hello All

I am wondering if anyone can help me?

I have created a product and added some components in order to be able to choose an individual object from a drop down list. Everything seems to be working well - except that on the View basket page I can see the name of the product and under Quantity tab it shows another quantity number underneath the changeable Quantity area.

Is there any way to remove this extra number and/or the text that says " - Selection:"? I have attached a JPG image to help illustrate what I am trying to ask.
