Completing an order

Hi,

When I’m about to finish an order, I have the following message :

"Please re-enter your password in order to check your identification and complete your order" (translated from french)

Everything's fine, except that this message appears at the really bottom of my page (I have to scroll down the page to see it!).

The problem is that the section icons (=html table containing photos of my products, which I added to my Act_primary), appear at the top of the page...
I would like to remove those photos and leave only the text message. Is it possible?

Hi there

This is possible, simply open your "Act_Primary.html" and get rid of the sections, now save it as another file in your site folder ie "Act_Primary_Checkout.html". Now in Actinic, simply go to "Design | Option | Section", toward the bottom you will see "Page Layout", and you will see "Checkout Page Layout", simply associate "Act_Primary_Checkout.html" to there, by clicking on "Browse" to find the template.

I did what you said : I made a "Act_Primary_Checkout.html" (here is a screencapture) and I associated it to the "Checkout Page Layout" in "Design | Option | Section".

Yet it didn't resolve my problem : the section icons still appear at the top of the page!

I have the same problem on the search page : the search menu appears, but at the very bottom of the page, below the sections icons...

What should I do?

Hi there

Try getting rid of "NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONTREE_NAMES" and "NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONTREE_URLS".

See if that works.

It didn't change anything unfortunately : the sections icons still appear at the top of the page (page url = http://commerce.ictl.com/cgi-bin/os000001.pl)

Isn't it a specific problem of version 5?

Hmmm very bizzare, i would not say this is a specific problem of version 5, because i have not seen it in any other version 5 stores. Judging from the images you are showing, the checkout stages are displaying the javascript section image. What what i was trying to remove.
Have you got a walkthrough with a test username and password, that i could go through on your site? Also what is your website url, so i can take a look into it?

Okay i see what the problem is stemming from now, the overall layout the reenter the password screen uses is "Act_Primary.html" (You default overall layout). Therefore if you take it out of "Act_Primary", then it will be removed from the reenter password screen. I'm afraid there is no way around this.

Am afraid not, the reenter the password screen uses the default overall layout, which is defined in "Design | Option | Sections".

Considering the construction of my catalog, I notice that the sections icons are only useful in the first page.

Maybe I can get rid of those sections icons in "Act_Primary.html", and create another template (eg: "Act_Primary_Firstpage.html") only for the first page?
