Random Affiliate Advert Display

Hello Forum

I would like to add some affiliate adverts to my site and would like them to appear randomly on homepage generation. e.g. 3 adverts, 1 appears each time the home page is refreshed.

Is this something I can achieve in Actinic?

Hi James,

It is possible to do this, but you need to have a script which will add the affiliate adverts. Actinic does not cater for this. So i would suggest in using a search engine and finding one. Once you have got the script, simply edit your "Act_Primary.html" template and place the script here.

Just to clarify the script I would be looking for... would it be a random image script, or something I add affiliate adverts to i.e. something more specialised than a random image script?

Do you alreday have code to insert or do you wish to create the ad's and input your reffer code to them?

I have the code from the affiliates, but no way of randomly shwing them
