    redirect URL resolving incorrectly

I have used the following URL to direct people from a separate site to a store site:
    http://www.ibdstore.org/cgi-bin/ss00...2eorg/acatalog

I'm sure (well pretty sure) that this worked fine originally (I don't usually put things in and then not check that they are not working)

However, now, when this URL is processed by IExplorer (not just me but others) it resolves to:
    http://www.ibdstore.org/a/Distconf.php
    instead of http://www.ibdstore.org/acatalog/Distconf.php

    Any ideas/comments gratefully appreciated

It's a bit worse than I thought: even the internal redirects (e.g. the SHOP button i resolving to /a rather than /acatalog.
Some advice would be really welcome......
(p.s. I've completely refreshed the site)

I just tried it and it resolves to the second (desired) address for me. That's on IE 6.0.29.

It could be that you have a corrupt session file associated with your PC. You can clear this in actinic by doing help>troubleshooting>clear session files (but this will clear all session files including those of any customers on your site) or by finding your cookie in your PCs temp file and deleting it.

Now I am confused. I've just tried the "Store" button from another computer on our network (although interestingly it does use different name servers) and it works fine. I've completely cleared the IE cache on the original work machine, rebooted & it's still not resolving the "Store" button URL (let alone my redirect URL) Am I going crazy or what

Thanks olderscott: sorry I posted the third message before I saw your reply. It's obviously something like that but where would a session file exist on my "work" PC. I thought the session files were on the server where I would have thought they would affect any user. (Gee or am I really being thick)Your advice welcome!

You're right, the session files are on ther server. You can either clear them all from within actinic (which will affect all users) or delete the cookie on your PC that associates it with a particular session file.

The cookie will be in the temporary internet file on your PC and the owner will be the site name. i.e. www.ibdstore.org

              Hi Mike

Thanks for your help. I deleted the relevant cookie and rebooted the PC and it seemed to resolve the issue. Still a bit weird though as I know a third party had the same problem this afternoon (which is what started all this). At any rate I've sent them instructions to do the same thing if they are still having problems. I'll let you know if there are any other developments (good or bad). Otherwise thanks again. Much appreciated.
