Actinic in 2 directories on 1 server

    Hi there

Just checking to see if it is possible to install 2 totally independent copies of Actinic on 1 server

I want to put one shop off the root of the site i.e. www.site.com/acatalog

and the other in a directory i.e. www.site.com/shop2/acatalog

Is this possible and will the 2 directories each have their own CGI-BIN to store their scripts in?

    Thanks

    Jos

Use the same cgi-bin but different script ID's

We have lots of sites using the same space with no problems

        One further question

I've changed the script ID in site #2 to be '2' whic has created a second set of cgi scripts without incident.

However, when I use a link of the form

        http://www.site.com/cgi-bin/ss000002...html&NOLOGIN=1

This goes back to the primary site on the server and tries to find the page there

        i.e. it should go to

        www.site.com/test/acatalog/mypage.html

        but instead it's going to

        www.site.com/acatalog/mypage.html

Is this just an incorrect setting in the Network Setup?

Did you also change the paths in the Advanced Network Setup

Change all non-cgi links to the correct path

            Hi Gary

Yeah -I think we changed all the correct paths...

The only one we didn't change was 'Codebase' (left as ./)

            The others are as follows:-

            Catalog URL
            www.site.com/test/acatalog/

            CGI-BIN URL:
            www.site.com/test/cgi-bin/

Path from CGI-BIN to acatalog directory
            ../test/acatalog/

That should be ok shouldn't it?

            Jos

              cgi url should be

              www.site.com/cgi-bin/

              as with your other site
