    Problem using EXCEL CSV file

To better control product pricing I am using an EXCEL file as my catalog database and I import all product details from this file which is read in CSV format. Problem is that I want to layout product description text in paragraphs for easier reading but I can't figure out a way of doing this using the designated cells in EXCELL ie. Short Description / Full Description / Extended Info Text

I have tried embedding html tags and ascii codes but these are simply faithfully reproduced by Actinic in the web page showing product details. I can easily change text formatting by clicking on the product entry directly in the catlog but I don't want to have to do this every time I import an updated CSV file.

    Can anyone please help?

If you are using HTML in your product descriptions you will need to add the Actinic markers around each piece of HTML (!!< at the beginning and >!! at the end), have you done this?

      Problem Solved!

Many thanks for your reply Jan, the problem was really with EXCEL and nothing to do with Actinic.

Ever tried to figure something out and you just can't see it? Then just as you're waking in the morning (or some other moment of inspiration) you truly see the problem and are then able to fix it; well that happened this morning!

The answer is when entering paragraphs into a single EXCEL cell you have to hit ALT+ENTER to hard code a CR in the same cell, otherwise EXCEL passes you onto the next cell with every CR it sees.

      Thanks to all.
