    Some customers cannot see images

    Hi,

I'm a Newbie to Actinics and wondered if anyone can please help...

I've been updating my new site and checking it online at the office, at home, at work and elsewhere, and everything appears like it should do..

I have now found that other people can't see any of the images. It seems completetly random as to who can't see the images?

Any suggestions to ensure everyone can view the images? Anything I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance

    Guy

    Hi Guy,

which images are missing? Using Firefox the only on I did not see after about 10 pages is in the bottom left hand box in the navigation - probably as the file has no extension name!

if the images are part of the design and not product images, try putting them in the site1 or what ever your root folder is called.

Just as an aside - you may be better saving the section graphics on the homepage and the logo as GIF's rather than JPEG's to improve the clarity

LOL - nah - helping out on here is much better than watching dodgy DIY makeover shows on the TV

              Hi,

I can see all of images (except the left bar image which is is a path problem) so can most people but I've found that a few people so far can't see any images

It just leaves a blank space and states at the bottom of the page that its downloading the first image from housecuts, but nothing changes.

The wierd thing is this happens on different machines, broudband, dial-up, pcs and a lap top

And thanks on the jpeg thing, I'll have a look at changing them over.

I've not managed to come up with a solution to this yet. After testing it there seems to be 3 or 4 people who can't see any images at all

If people wouldn't mind checking out the site to see if they can see any images it would be much appreciated

                http://www.housecuts.com/acatalog/3am_home.html

I trying to gage how big the problem is, to see how many people can't see images. Then maybe I can find a sollution

                Thanks!

                Guy

I can see all of the images except for the bottom left one that is already mentioned. Using IE6.

The bottom right "3AM Home" image is missing, the path is wrong ( acatalog/acatalog )and there is no file extension.

File extension example: deadbeat_DB_logo64.jpg - AS JONT HAS POINTED OUT

The path to this image is below, look at the “acatalog” looks like you have an acatalog inside an acatalog, make sure the path is correct.

                      www .housecuts.com/acatalog/acatalog/deadbeat_DB_logo64
