    uploading problems

    Hi

I mistakenly posted this in V7 forum, thinking that the cliant was on V7

    Any ideas?

    TIA

Do a Snapshot (this may produce an error that points out the missing file).

Back up all of Site1 as well (just in case).

Go to C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\Original and copy all .pm and .pl files into Site1, overwriting what's there.

    Refresh
Now I find the client is running Version 6.1.3.0.0.0.DBA
and also, over the phone, they assure me there is no Original folder

....so is there anywhere I can get the .pm and .pl files? i don't have paid support.

    TIA

In V6 the files should be in C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Original

If that folder doesn't exist (and they haven't chosen a wierd folder to install Actinic into) then there must be major problems in the installation of Actinic.

You can't just use any set of Perl scripts. They change with every release of Actinic so must be for the appropriate version e.g. 6.1.3, 6.1.4, etc.

They could also backup the entire Site1 and then try that Snapshot idea as this may show up the missing file.

      thanks norman -

i'm going to their offices tomorrow to see for myself

the snapshot didn't reveal anything i'm afraid

(i installed it myself so there was nothing unusual, and it's been working fine for a year or so previous to this)

i finally got them to do a search for *.pm and they found the original file!

and replacing the .pl and .pm files worked - thanks norman!
