changing the section list

Hi,
This seems like a really easy question but i am having real trouble finding out how to answer it. any help would be useful.

I want to widen the area of the page that displays the catalog section list (the bit with the section pics and info). my site is not going to have a verticle sections bar so I want expand this area. have tried a few things with no success.

Hi John,

have you tried Design | Options | Site Defaults | Change the size under ACTSTDWIDTH to the value in pixels.

Try and keep the overall site to 750 pixels in width for maximum compatibility
