    Using sitemap for navigation?

I think this is a long shop but is it possible to generate the sitemap code, NETQUOTEVAR:SITEMAP, on every page of the site. This could replace the navigation created by javascript code that is aesthetically fine but of no use for search engines.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Try using NETQUOTEVAR:INCLUDE Sitemap.html instead of the javascript.

      Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. I gave it a try.
Fot it to work I downloaded the site map off the server and stripped off all the code round the site map. Otherwise you get the whole sitemap page in the left hand column. Despite this, surely when i upload the site again Actinic will generate a new site map that will overwrite the one i downloaded.

Can you think of a way round this or is there another solution?

I suggest you save the stripped-down file under a different silename e.g. sitemap2.html and then use

        NETQUOTEVAR:INCLUDE sitemap2.html

        That'll do it.
