    Editing with Dreamweaver

    Hello folks,

I am a newcomer to Actinic (v7.0.3) and Dreamweaver and have a problem editing. I am using quantity discounts so I have several prices for one product. I follow the instructions loading into dreamweaver, have unchecked html/cgi, previewed etc. copied file to dw, selected the template then clicked edit. At this point I come to a standstill. I get is a list of actquotevars and no html too edit. Am I not understanding something?

    Please help, thank you,

    ColinU.

You need the Dreamweaver extension to get the best from Dreamweaver. If you have Developer install the extension from the Program Files/Actinic V7/Extensions folder

Do you need to click Window | Html in DW?

In Dreamweaver have you done this

Site Menu, manage sites, New site, give the site and name, local root folder is where ever your actinic site1 is located, ingore the rest, OK, Done

To open a template for edit File Menu, open

                ___________________

after you have save your template, you will then use actinic to upload your changes

                  alternativeley

in Actinic, advanced menu, template manager, change the "editor" browse to where dreamweaver exe is.

Now when you open a template using template manager it will open the file in DW for you

Are there any dw extensions available for catalog?

You need to generate a site preview.

Then copy the URL into the OPEN FILE menu in DW.

If the extension is installed and you have unticked compacthtml/cgi in Design > Options then you should see little markers in DW showing you where templates beigin and end

Thanks for trying everybody, but everthing talked about is in place, the browser previews are perfect, it just will not update in Actinic.

Sorry if this is wrong, but are you making the changes in the PreviewHTML\***.html files or the templates that you can access through them?
I only have a limmited actinic knowledge but that's what is sounds like to me.
