Instant Messaging / Live Support Function

    Hi

I have had a look through the archives but cant find any thing about this.

Is it possible to embed a "live support" function within an Actinic v7 site that uses MSN, Yahoo or AOL instant messaging?

I know there are javascripts out there but I haven't extended my search (in detail) outside Actinic yet as I thought I would get the opinions of this forum. I want to make sure I don't do something that conflicts with Av7.

Any suggestions / pointers would be appreciated.

    Hi Paul,

If you can embed it in html, then you should be able to embed it in the Actinic template. For the "Live Support", you may need to embed it in Act_Primary.html.
It should work without any problems of conflict in the Actinic store.

    Kind Regards

We use Bold Chat Plus and it works like a dream! And had no problems integrating it with the Actinic templates.

It costs $49 a month for 1 user (at a time), and is worth that just to be able to see where visitors are arriving from, looking at, and leaving at - the Live Support bit is just a bonus!

However it doesn't integrate with other messaging systems, if that's important to you.
