I am currently running V4 and considering upgrading to V7. I would also like to change to inputting data onto an Access database and use hierarchical import (currently using the standard input templates). The problem is that I want to avoid re-inputting all the data but have not found a way to export the current site to a file that I could then use to create the database. Any ideas anyone?

Why not install V7 on the same system as V4 lives and choose the Upgrade V4 option (assuming V7 can upgrade v4 - try it and see). This will leave the V4 site completely unchanged so you can continue using V4 while seeing if the upgraded site is OK. If the upgraded V7 is useless you can always uninstall V7 and start again.
Assuming that worked, you can export your V7 site to either a Hierarchical or Flat File and load that into Access.Norman - www.drillpine.biz
