    customer enquiry form

Can any one tell me how I can create a customer enquiry form with a submit button so that I can have my customers request information Actinic 7

    #2
Will you want customers to do this from within an Actinic site? If so then Actinic 7 produces a pre-made enquiry form.

If it will not be used in an Actinic store you would need to look at something like FormMail.

Tell us more about what you'd like first.

the premade form is the same thing as the contact form.

You would have to adapt it to add extra fields.

Alternately use Formmail (if your host allows this) download it from
        http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net/scripts.shtml

you'll want the compat version. Be very very careful to ensure you configure it to be very very secure. Otheriwise spammers may use it on your behalf.

I believe that what we all mean by enquiry form is a form that will register a buyers interest in a given product
          - a wish list
          - a tell me more about this
          - an order without a payment [ we have cobbled the basket up to do this - but people still think they are committing to the buy]

....................its really such a simple need there must be a way

wish list - check out http://www.smartdecisionshop.com/aca...c_plugins.html

tell me more - add these to a pop up screen to save time answering requests. If the customer still needs more info a product specific formmail with the product number as the subject line as Jo suggests is an easy solution once you have it up and running

order without payment - unless the items are free is this not a wish list?
