Tearing hair out over Coupons

Hi

I have spent the last few hours trying to set up and test a coupon code but it does not seem to register on my site. I have set up as follows:

Order Level
Enabled
Based on Cart Value Ex Tax
Percentage based
Cart value £0.01
% figure entered and coupon name entered

I have tested by using the url link generated and also manually but each time my website does not show or deduct any discount.

Can anyone think where I might be going wrong or any settings that I need to check out.

Hi,

Are you on the latest version of v7 (ie v7.0.3)?

I tested this out in v7.0.1 and came across the same problem, however, it works fine in v7.0.3.

Where are you entering the coupon code - on a product page, in the basket or in the checkout?

We have it set up so that the code is entered during the checkout process. Do you think it would be better before this stage?

You could try this, but its strange as it works for me and Tracey. Might i suggest if it does not work, in registering an email ticket on http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm

ok..sorry to drag up this thread but all I can say is "are you kidding me??!!!"
I've just spent hours trying to restore my site back to 7.0.2 for both business and catalog site, only to find that I am encoutering the same problem trying to get the coupons working..
So I have to upgrade/patch to 7.0.3 to get the coupon prompt to work?

I'm getting the following error when I try to checkout using Business 7.0.2..

A General Script Error Occurred

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error: Mallformed XML cart template (missing DiscountInfoLine)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner

Now I've been updating and refreshing all blooming morning after upgrading from cat6.1.3 to Bus 7.0.2, only to find that the coupons (the 99% reason why I've forked out for the upgrade in the first place!) still doesn't work.


Kept it on 7.0.2 coz that's what my catalog site is/was on...
So, do I need to upgrade/patch them to 0.3?
If so.... Lord help us...

I understand you been talking to our Support team here, and when speaking to them it might be you are missing the code for the Coupon Code. I think Support may be emailing you some information.

That is correct!
In the absence of the forums (they were down for me for some time) I resorted to calling support..LOL
I'm rather anxious at the thought of adding anything into my Act_Primary, mind you! Mine currently barely resembles the "original" and I can't work out where to put it.
My cart layout template is the same, Act_Primary so apparently I need to change that and add in the missing "coupon" bit.
Just can't work out where!
