I am planning to build a photographic library using Catalog v7, eventually with auto download. Are the any other users of Catalog who have build a photographic libabry and could you advise their URL. I have already contacted Actinic about the published number of products as 10,000, but have been assured it should work to higher max number of products. Any experience with high volumes would be appreciated.

welcome to the boards. You should be OK pushing the max products higher as several users have 20.000+ and rising by the day - keeping track of them all is another issue
I cannot remember the user name but someone does have an online art gallery offering paintings / drawing etc for download which is in a similar vein to yours.
