    Netquotevar:brochure_text

    Hi,

I have searched these forums but cannot find the answer.
Would like to edit the text on my home page with colours fonts and bullets but simply cannot find where this text is stored ?

I asked this a long time ago but cannot find my original post, sorry.

I have just done this by downloading my index.html page and editing then re-uploading with an ftp program. Am I correct to assume that if I wish to change more than just the font and size then I have to do it this way ?

      Hi Mick,

most people tend to migrate away from the home page as generated by Actinic and edit their own using their favoured HTML editor as this give a more flexible layout structure and allows you to do much much more.

The standard homepage via Actinic is quite basic although you can embed HTML into the various fragments by surrounding the code with !!< html code >!! eg !!<<B>Bold Text</b>>!! to embolded the text

You would be better to make the changes then EMBED the html you need into the brouchure fragment.

The way you are doing this at the moment will have the page overwritten each time you upload the site,

          Thanks chaps,

jont - I agree it looks very very basic and immensly boring. What I intend to do is add some pictures and spruce it up a bit but the bottom line is that I wish to keep it, I feel its always handy to have some sort of intro page with the possibility of special offer links etc.

Gary - What youve suggested is exactly what I want to do but I cannot find where to embed html directly into the fragment ?

          Cheers

Ok I think ive got it.

Edit text and title, get rid rid of brochure text netquotevars and paste in my own html. If im referencing images I hope im ok as long as they are in site one folder before a refresh ?

            Cheers
