Drop down list for amounts for Gift Vouchers or Donations

My apologies in advance if this is old hat, but I'm very new to Actinic and V7.

A couple of items we want to have in our shop are Gift Vouchers and Donations.

The Gift Vouchers wouhld be available in, say, £5, £10, £25 units. The donations similarly in £10, £20, £30, etc.

I would like to have a (visible) Product of Gift Vouchers, in that some text and image and a drop down list of values as well as a quantity. Similarly with a Donations product.

Creating a Product such as Gift Voucher, then create an Attribute of Please choose, then Choice entries for the amounts doesn't work as the price is at the Product level.

I've also tried a Product of Voucher with Component of £10, £20, etc. but the choice always comes out as radio buttons not as a drop down list, and as the choice could be fairly large, radio buttons are unsuitable.

I can't see how to get the price to be correct at the Choice (if that's the right point) level. To have separate Products for each Gift Voucher seems excessive.

Donations are another example of the same problem.

    Hi Tony,

for the product you need to add a Component and then the attributes for the different options. Under Components click on Permutations Tab and then add the Attributes in using the "+" button. This then allows you to add the individual prices and also set the pricing model accordingly.

If you have already added the attributes you need to temporarily move them away from the product, add the component and then you can move them back in again.

Thanks for that, with that guidance I've now managed to get what I wanted.

Took me longer than it should as, under a component, I was creating multiple attributes for the values. I should have been creating 1 attribute and multiple choices, then using the Permutations tab accordingly.
