Credit card numbers : splitting into 4

    Hi
Is there any way to ensure customers put their credit card number in groups of 4. Rather than one long number?

It's just to make it easier when orders are downloaded.

    Thanks

    Hi there

I'm afraid at the moment it is not possible. It would require a script change. I will add this thread to our wishlist for consideration on a future version.

    Kind Regards

      Hi Nadeem,

out of curiosity why does Atcinic allow people to enter their card details into groups of 4 without an error coming up? I would have expected Actinic to recognise the space as a character and create an error - or have you made Actinic ignore spaces? Just wondered.

Actinic will ignore any spaces entered when validating the card number.

Maybe, but I think Jont was implying that it oughtn't allow customers to leave spaces in their card number at all (I'm assuming this is only an issue with in-built encryption or SSL?)
It does make it more time consuming if manually entering card numbers onto a Virtual terminal (where you can copy and paste) as you then need to remove all the well-intentioned customer spaces!
Just my 2ps worth, haivng spent a lot of time in the last 12 months entering card numbers from in-built encryption onto a VT!
