    Meta tag generation not working?

I have religiously filled in meta tags in all the relevant pages, but, according to http://www.widexl.com/remote/search-...-analyzer.html (suggested in another thread) I have none being generated. I have looked at the source of my home page, and nothing there...

Should I switch something on somewhere?

I also realise that none of my section headings (keywords) are showing up. Is this a problem with Smart Scheme?

    Hi Anthea,

tried to look at your site and could not get past the home page!

Have you checked under Design Options | Sections | check that the "include meta from parents" box is not checked for a starter.

OK, I've unchecked the box. Still no joy looking at it through Widexl. Any idea why you couldn't get past the Home page? That's worrying - I can (and I'm not reading the cache!) Also, nothing from my section headings, ie no product names etc, is appearing in Widexl. HELPPPPP!!!

my first thought is that is it widexl at fault as it is quite common for these tools not to see tags.

I looked at this page http://www.treatmentgels.co.uk/acatalog/Symptoms.html and you have these tags

<META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="aching muscle, arthritis, bruising, burn, cellulite, circulation, cold sore, herpes, drainage, dry skin, fluid retention, DVT, frozen shoulder, inflammation, scarring, tendonitis, varicose veins, water retention, wrinkles">
<META NAME="Description" CONTENT="Look at our list of symptoms and conditions for a specific natural treatment for your problem">

However this page has no tags http://www.treatmentgels.co.uk/acatalog/HEALTH.html

do both of these pages have actinic keywords and description assigned?

Thanks for looking Jo. Health does not yet have meta tags, but I was distracted by the widexl report showing nothing at all, so I was trying to make sure I had the settings right before going any further.

Can you suggest an alternative to widexl? I am disturbed that, having carefully named pages to meaningful words and (I thought) obeyed the rules for ranking, none of my products gets a reference in the list of words and phrases it finds.

I have also read on here that a site map on all pages is the way to go? Guess what I will be doing today!!!
