URL link to open in a new window - how??

Hi
Please can you help me, I am setting up our new website and have a list of manufacturer logos on the links page which when you click on them it takes you to the manufacturers website. The only problem is that it replaces the links page with the manufacturers page and I want it to open in a new window. I have gone into the Actinic sitehtml folder, found the links page and changed the href tags from _self to _black so that it opens in a new window saved it, gone back into Actinic and uploaded the site and it doesn't work and when I gone back into the links.html page Actinic has changed the href tags back to _self.

Why is it overriding the html that I have saved?????

Our test site is www.phantasia.net/testsite and the page in question is the links page.

Any replys will be gratefully received.

I'm not at a live system to test this but try

http://www.mysite.com" target="_blank

and use these wierd mismatched quotes exactly as above.
