    Email notification problem possibly?

    Hi

    One of our customers has sent me an email saying that they are not always receiving emails to say that there is an order online for them to download.

    Now i havent looked into this fully yet but just wanted to check that actininc doesnt have some sort of rule built into it so that it only sends an email if there are no orders up there. ie there had been no orders placed then when one is, it sends an email out but if say another 5 orders are placed, it wont send out an email because the first order is still in there that they were notified of? I hope that makes sense

    Or could there be any other reason/setting in actinic thatwould cause this to not send emails randomly?

    Just trying to cover all bases.

    The email is only sent after the first order. Subsequent orders don't generate an email until the waiting orders have been downloaded.

    If your client wants an email each time, then you'll need to turn on the 'send copy of customer email to:' bit and he'll get a copy of the customer emails. Note though that even this only gets generated when the customer returns to the receipt page and clicks the 'done' button, so there's still no guarantee that there'll be an email for every order.

      The notification I receive always says "a new order has arrived since you last downloaded" ... so any new orders will not generate another email notification until the orders are downloaded.

      You could always request a copy of the customer notification email also be sent through to you so each time a new order is placed you receive an email of the order (less payment details)
