'Free Over' Shipping and International Orders

Dear All

We are making use of the 'Free Over' Check Box in Biz settings Shipping - set at Orders of £150 plus. However we can't afford to offer this on orders from outside the UK - is there a way to make this apply to only UK orders. (We use weight as the basis for our shipping charges).

The only way you can achieve this, is by using Weights shipping method. Please check the following thread.

Thanks for getting back. The thread suggests the way to do it is on a 'Total Value' calculation basis - rather than 'by weight' - as you suggest? Did you get a bit confused?

I can see method in total value but can't see a way to do it using weight (as we do).

I'm sorry, what i meant to write was, I can only see this achieve by using Total Value and not weights, as suggested by the thread i passed you.
I'm afraid there is no way of mixing Total Value with Total Weight.

When you say you use shipping by weight for your charges, are you using the actual product weight or weight as a proxy for something else?

hi mike

a mixture of both really - we use the actual product weight for 95% of the products (their are several hundered) - a few we use notional weights (eg 0.0 or a very high weight) to achive a desired shipping outcome.
