    checkout page

when a customer fills out the checkout form (page), they can enter just 1 letter for example in the field, and the form accepts it.
for example, in the address field he can enter 'A" and in the phone field he can enter "A" and in the and the form accepts it.
is there a way to make it so it wont? for exp: the form has to know that an telephone can not be just a letter or a number?

You're right about the other Name/Address/etc fields, but the Email field needs an @ symbol else the form won't process . . . or at least it does on our site.

but unfortunately, jack is right. I have 'orders' downloaded from fff@gggh and as you can imagine, he will never receive his goods....just another time waster with nothing better to do.

Apart from testing for a minimum length in the address fields (and how could anyone establish the length?) or the x@y.z format in the email field, what can we expect actinic to do?

I accept it and move on.

        Hi there

Currently Actinic will accept any text you put in. You could use the PostCode Anywhere plugin to help clients enter their address details, but there is no way you can restrict them currently.
I will add your comments to the wishlist.

        Kind Regards

          Nadeem,

Postcode Anywhere does not help much when the majority of customers are in USA and Australasia, but the complexity of checking the email address live does not escape me. I can live with occassional clicks on the delete button.
