    *** v6.1.1 Patch Released ***

Version 6.1.1 of Actinic Ecommerce is now available to download from:

    http://www.actinicdownloads.com/

6.1.1 is a maintenance release which has been produced to fix three errors in 6.1.0. These errors are:

-- It was not possible in 6.1.0 to change Section Page Names. When you tried, the following error message was given: "A file name must be specified, please enter a name."

-- Sites with a large number of products were experiencing slow performance in opening dialogs.

-- The online cart was occasionally oddly displayed (although content and prices were correct) for products with optional components marked as 'Component as a Separate Order Line'. An extra quantity field appeared underneath the first component incorrectly.

There are no other changes in the patch.

6.1.1.DDOA does not appear to fix this error?

Thanks - I'll feed this back.

Have you found the patch has corrected the issues you were experiencing with it taking a long time to open dialogues?

Same problem here, when will this be solved?

        -Yes, problem with:

"-- Sites with a large number of products were experiencing slow performance in opening dialogs. "

        seems ok!

          Hmm..

I have installed Actinic Developer 6.1.1.0.0.0.DDOA patch

Upgraded a Site to this version and changed the section names and it works perfectly

Also successfully edited a Subsection with out any error messages

Sorry, got this the wrong way round!

Have updated from v6.02 to v6.1.1 and cannot edit
            sections without error saying:

"a file name must be specified, please enter a name"

The page Name field is initially blank, and if i enter a name it is ok.

My problem, do i really have to go thru the whole site and enter a file name for all sections, and if i choose the name actinic originally created it comes up with a conflict.

The only way then is to call it something else, press ok and then rename it to the original name and press ok.

            Tell me I'm wrong

              From the email announcement:

Please note that the v6.1.1. patch in only suitable for upgrading from v6.1.0. All other users should download and install the full version
I think that you have missed out upgrading to V6.1.0 first.

No, I installed the full version 6.1.1.0.0.0.DDOA from v6.0.2.0.0.0 CNNA and went through the site upgrader.

                    Hi Chris
                    I will try again
                    Have a V6.0.2 with a snapshot import from a V4
                    No problem with "Page name"
Download a complete V6.1.1 and do an upgrade
If I open a section and click ok it comes up with: "a file name must be specified, please enter a name"

?? What file name?? Ok, -looking at layout tab, the field "Page Name" is blank.
I can enter a file name here and it is ok apart from I cannot use the name it currently has unless going through the motions explained previously.

I dont want to change page names because I have a lot of external links to the section pages.

So, should I have installed V6.1.0 and do the patch.

That is how understood it but I have checked on the download site and it doesn't say on way or the other.

We need further clarification from Actinic...

catalog certainly claims to be upgraded to 6.1.1.0.0.0.DDOA but still gives the "a file name must be specified, please enter a name" error

also the product details box occasionally turns up empty - running low on memory?

Have just realised that if you create a new section, it will automatically fill in the page name.

I don't think it affects new sections, only attempts to change existing ones?

                              Here is the definitive answer:

The 6.1.1 patch can only be applied to 6.1.0.

If you want to go from 6.0.2 to 6.1.1 then you need the full version of 6.1.1 rather than the patch.

As it says on the site:
Please note that no patch is available to upgrade versions before v6.1.0. All users of earlier versions will need to download the full release.

Tom, with regards to your problem, there is a change in 6.1.1 whereby Actinic no longer lets you leave the 'Page Filename' field blank. You have to enter a value into it. This is the file name your page will have online. In your case you are going to have to look at your filenames in your 'SiteHTML' folder and put these into the 'Page Filename' field. I'm sorry about the hassle this will cause, but at least you will only have to do it once. This is a better long-term solution for your site, because previously if you had moved a section anywhere, the filename of the section would have changed and the external links will not work anymore.

I am closing this thread now. If there are any remaining questions, please start a new thread.
