    Login problems

I am trying to set a site up so that people can login from anywhere on it - brochure or catalogue.

I have followed the instructions in the advance user guide and have the login on the brochure pages working fine.

But following the same instructions for the catalogue pages I get the following error when I try to login:

    A General Script Error Occurred

    ------------------------------------------------------------------
Error: There is no valid input parameters for the script! Check the referencing HTML code!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner

    Any suggestions?

        Hi James

You can use a NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBLOGINLINK on a brochure page, as well as a catalog page.

So an example could be in your code

        Code:
        <a href="NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBLOGINLINK"><img src="login.gif"></a>
        Try this instead

        Kind Regards

Is it the same NETQUOTEVAR for the catalogue pages as this is the area where it is not working?

I think you miss understand, I don't want a link to the login page, but to have the login details on the page.

I have done this on the brochure pages fine - see www.viteyes.co.uk

But using the same code doesn't appear to work on the cataolgue pages - that is when I get the error.

                  Hi James

How did you do this for the brochure site? I would simply just copy the fully generated code from the <form> to the </form> tag into the primary template.

Attached to this thread is what i think should go in the login area of the primary template.

                  Kind Regards

I have tried pasting that it but I get the same problem. I have attachjed both my Primary and Brocure templates for review. As I say the brochure one works fine, it is only in the cataloge that the error occurs.

                      Hi James

Just checked through the "Act_Primary.html" and the coding is fine, so this leads me to believe there a form tag not closed properly else in your templates. I have stuck those two templates in a default site1 store, and changing the links from your url to my localhost and it works for me.

Go to "Help | Troubleshooting" and click on "Compare Templates". These templates are the files which you may have change, some of them may have a form tag. Please check to see where one might still be open.

                      Kind Regards

I have tried that and it gave me the following list:

                        Act_BrochurePrimary.html
                        Act_Primary.html
                        Act_ShoppingCartXML.html
                        Act_ImageOnly.html
                        Act_InfoBody.html
                        Act_SingleCartButton.html
                        Act_Order02.html
                        Act_Order01.html
                        Act_SectionNavImage.html
                        Act_LeftImage.html

None of these have form tags (other than the top two and they are all closed).

                        Any other suggestions?
