Product References

I would like to autogenerate reference numbers for all products on a site and also have them show in the online catalog. When autogenerate is ticked in business settings this greys out the other options for showing online and doesn't show them in preview. Does anyone know if they show online as I don't want to upload at present if this will in effect refresh all products that are currently showing with reference numbers.

Hi there

If you have ticked "Autogenerate" product reference, the two other tickbox are greyed out, and they will not be active. Therefore if "Show Online" is ticked, Actinic will ignore this, and not show the product reference on the website.

If you only want these on the Product pages and can live without this in the Cart, Checkout and printed reports, then use the variable NETQUOTEVAR:PRODUCTREFERENCE in your Product templates which will display the bare reference.
