    cancelling a product

Hi have had a couple of customers try to cancel a product from the basket or at checkout, they havent managed to cancel successfully and have aborted the sale. Tried myself today, sometimes cancelling from shopping basket works occassionally it doesnt. If you cancel at checkout unless you would know to go back and view basket then remove item, the product isnt cancelled. Also customer had been looking a couple of days ago and had ticked add to cart then but didnt proceed with sale, but when she went in today the original item she ticked off was still showing up? Am afraid am not too hot with IT skills, so any help would be appreciated.
    kind regards

    Hi Allyson

Are your visitors clicking the Update button to store changes? When clicking a tickbox, the Update button muct be clicked to change the cart contents. You may have to make this more obvious by adding a text link with a brief note that this is the case?

I have to agree that this isn't the most elegant way of making changes to the cart, and isn't obvious to some customers at first.

There's a JavaScript function that allows you to add a "Clear Cart" or "Reset Cart" button to ensure that customers can completely wipe their cart contents if need be. Thread is here
