Can I split the catalog into two seperate areas?

I am building a store for a client and it needs to be split into two areas, one for End Users and one for Business Users both with different layouts. Is this possible? or do I need to license a new store?

If I do have to license a new store will they both work on the same server/cgi-bin?

You can do this by having two master sections.

You then set-up one of the sections so only business users with usernames and passwords can access the pages.

You can even hide different sections from different users. Refer to the advanced user guide on Actinics web site for help on how to do this.

      good luck

We do not intend the Business Users to have to register. Business Users need to be able to get in without having user/pass. The differences in the 2 sections will be products and layout/look.

It wouldn't be possible to have two catalogs in the software without buying a second user license but I see no reason why you couldn't have more than one catalog on the same web space. You could do this by creating different directories in the cgi-bin etc.

However, you could simply create two main sections for Retail and Business and use two different primary templates for each of the two sections.
