    P&P by order value

I'm developing an online shop for a charity and am considering Actinic Catalog. However I can't seem to find anyway that says whether Catalog can manage P&P charges by order value - e.g.
    Orders of value £0.00 - £5.00 P&P is £1.00
    Orders of value £5.01 - 10.00 P&P is £1.50
    Orders of value 10.01 - 20.00 P&P is £2.00
    etc

Most example sites I have seen do a fixed price P&P price or may do it by weight but not by order value. This is how the charity manages its current printed catalogue so I will need to match that for online orders too.

    Can anyone assist?

    Thanks

    Peter

You could do it by weight and assigne each item a weight that is equal to the value.

You can do it by order value. People only use weight for this when they want to have some items treated differently.

All you need to do is select:'Total Value' as the calculation basis, create your shipping bands or zones and then set up the shipping costs for your different value thresholds.

One thing to remember is that actinics shipping values are up-to (or up to and including - I can't remember). So you probably want something like:

      £5.00 £1.00
      £10.00 £1.50
      £20.00 £2.00
      etc.

P&P by total value of order

        Thanks Bill

        I don't think I explained myself properly.

I need to add a certain amount of P&P based of the total order value (in £).

So if somebody has ordered a range of products that might be of high value but little weight I still want to charge them a certain amount based of the value of their whole order.

        e.g.
Order made up of 3 products that totals £12.50 I want to charge £2 P&P
Order made up of 1 product that totals £45.00 I want to charge £5 P&P
Order made up of 5 products that totals £45.00 I want to charge £5 P&P

So the price points in my P&P settings are based on total value of the order.

        Hope that makes sense.
