Can you stop the search indexing the full description?

It makes searching next to useless on our site as it brings up so many products that aren't relevant.

Not at an Actinic site at the moment but try View / Search Settings.

Norman is correct - View | Search Settings | Results - uncheck the "full description" under "display options"

It is unchecked.

It's searching on full description (i.e. finding products by matching words in the full description), it doesn't show it in the results page, only the product name and price (which is what we want). Is this not normal behaviour?

I basically only want search terms to be matched against words in the products name.

Hi David,

I'm afraid within the current version, the quick search will always search on the full description as well as the short description of a product. There is no function in Actinic to just search for the short description (Product name).
