Express delivery charge component, problem.

Hi All,

I've set an 'express delivery' option as a component, charged at £2.95 extra.

The problem is the £2.95 express delivery should only be charged once per order, however, it's being multiplied by the number of items in the basket.

can i do this keeping the 'express delivery' as a component of every product, or would i have to (somehow) place this option in the checkout only?

Most people do this by adding an 'express delivery' option at the checkout where the customer chooses his shipping method.

Is there a reason you want to do it on the product page?

Hi David,

This could be done using components and attributes on a product. However this will add a charge on the product, not in shipping. What Mike had written to have express delivery on the checkout is the best option. If you choose to use weights for shipping, then you can have specific shipping classes.
