    ooops... lost some buttons!

OK, so I was tinkering with the buttons and now I've gone and lost them
I had been editing bits and pieces (working on blank site) and I changed some buttons before realsiing that I could have just changed the whole colour scheme.
Then, of course, when I *did change the scheme, it left my edited buttons as I'd changed them, not in the new scheme
So, how can I get back the originals or colour schemed ones?
Or will I have to re-install?

I assume you have a backup of before you started tinkering? If so rename the backup file from "backup.acd" to "backup.zip" and open the new ZIP file ... the images should be in there... you can t hen extract them and place them back into Site1 folder to overwrite the newly changed images

If you don't have a backup you could apply another theme and then re-apply the theme you wish to use (save any modified templates outside the Actinic directory before changing the theme and copy them back in)

Edit > the originals are also in the Formats | Themes folders

hmm, I do have a backup but I'm just wondering whether it's still going to think they are edited if I copy them back in. I mean, the filenames themselves weren't changed so I don't know why it didn't over-write them when I changed the colour scheme (which is all I did)
Might have to try the change of theme thing (oh god, I remember what problems that usually causes though!) but I'll try copying backup images first, thanks!
        Cheers

ok...copying from backup didn't help. It still flagged them as being modified files (they may have been in the original. I had it designed for me)
I'm really hesitant to change the theme away from it's design and then back again because I'm worried about it affecting templates that I don't know how to change back again!
It always sends up that warning box, doesn't it? Just keeps making me press cancel..LOL

              ahhh...now I have some!
Think is, that folder didn't have them all. I'm still missing "update.gif" and "continue_shopping.gif"
I'm using the layout02 theme. Anyone know why these 2 images would be absent from my Format>Themes folder?
              Cheers, and thanks again Jont!

Actually... on further checking, having changed the colours away from ours and back again, even though it didn't warn that they weren't changed, they weren't, IYSWIM

This is getting silly now. I might as well just use my edited ones (although I'd prefer not to)

I need some reassurance that I'm not going to much anything up if I change the theme away from layout02 and then back again, bit worried about that!

                Hi,

I'm using the layout02 theme. Anyone know why these 2 images would be absent from my Format>Themes folder?
They should be there, but you could try getting them from say the 'layout1' theme folder instead. If you haven't got them in any 'layout*' folder then let me know and I will upload them for you.

If you change themes, then any template changes you have made will be overwritten with the originals. Make sure you take a backup of all your templates in the site folder (Act_*.html are actinic temlates, but also make sure you copy any that you have created) before you change the theme, then you can copy them back in after you change back. Also take a snapshot before doing it too, just in case (better to be safe than sorry!).
