Adding stock to a new site

I have loaded all my product info into Actinic via CSV imports.
Now I am ready to add stock.
Can I import stock via my CSV files by mapping the ‘Stock in hand’ field from my spreadsheet to actinic? Seems easy enough. I just don’t want to bugger it up!

If you know the section hierarchy (eg: Products | Cards | Boys ) you can use a flat file import because the minimum you can have in a flat file import is section hierarchy, product reference and then any other fieid.

If you do not have this info in your spreadsheet, use hierarchical import because you do not have to specifiy it then. Put just a product row with the reference and stock in the file (and a product header row as well) and you should be fine.

If you are worried, take a snapshot of your site before doing the import and it should be fine.
