Cart displays component names on order line

    Hello,

To cope with some options (e.g. gift wrap) on some of our products, I have included components, attributes and choices.

The problem is that when a choice is made (e.g. gift wrap), the correct order line is displayed - 1 x product + 1 x gift wrap - but also a second line underneath that appears to be(?) a concatenation of object names. Thus:

    Description Qty
ProductA 1 -- (correct, as expected)
Gift wrap - Gift Wrap : Gift Wrap 1 -- (extra detail!)

Can anyone provide a suggestion as to (a) what is causing this and (b) how I can remove these second lines.

Note that for normal products (i.e. no choice) this doesn't appear.

    Regards,
    Jan

    Jan,

This thread might help if I understand your problem correctly. Look about halfway down the page:-

      Hello Dave,

Thanks for the link. I have made the suggested modifications to the the ActinicOrder.pm file but this has not changed anything.

Our gift wrap option line reads:

GIFT WRAP - GIFT WRAP : GIFT WRAP
      (Component - Attribute : Choice)

If nothing else, can anyone suggest how to omit the last GIFT WRAP?

        Jan,

It should work, have you tried downloading the file that James has placed on the thread? If you use this then upload the site again it should work, leaving you with the attribute name and choice only. Then to make it more user friendly I would change your attribute name to something like "Extra Option", this will then display in the checkout as "Extra Option: Gift Wrap"

Let us know how you get on.

          Hello again,

I downloaded the zip file but when I came to extract/view using WinZip I got an error message saying there was a problem with data compression. At the bottom of the thread James has given the amended code fragment so I used this and edited the file myself.

Perhaps you have the file available to send to me?
