Using HSBC - not even getting to secure page

Hi, first post and probably a real newbie one, but searching has yielded plenty of problems using HSBC, but not the one I'm having!

According to HSBC, they're not seeing anything in their error logs, so I suspect the site is not even reaching the point of moving to their secure server.

When I reach the point of "Click Next to go to HSBC Secure e-payments", doing so results in the following sparsely-laid out message:
    Error:
The connection to the shop can not be established!
Please press the browsers back button twice and try the transaction again.

If you continue to get this message please contact the merchant.

Press 'back' button twice to return to your shop.
The URL is https://secure.actinicsecure.com/cgi-bin/is_main.pl (i.e. not HSBC). Presumably Actinic needs to parse its data before HSBC can accept it.

Anyway, surely I'm not the first person to suffer this!? Anyone have ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi

I recently had a problem when i upgraded from v6 to v7. Main problem being that I had edited v6 pages and there was something in my file that v7 did not seem to like.

I copied an original order file from v7 and put into mine. If you have made any edits to your check out pages, personally I would try to copy in the originals one at a time (there are only 3) and see if that resolves. I find style changing way easier than funciton changing!!

OK, eranu on my part. The site in question is currently password-protected at the request of the client.

It appears the actinicsecure.com bridging script starts a separate session to that of the client browser, and of course was getting nowhere as the host server wanted a password.

So, remove password protection - get a working HSBC integration. Should have realise that actinicsecure.com would be making a call to the host server.
