How to Set Up a Declining Shipping Rate Tariff

I am using two shipping zones: 'UK' and 'Rest of EU'.

For the UK Shipping Zone only, I am trying to set-up a declining shipping rate tariff that will provide customers with the following rates:

    - Order products with a combined value of up to £28.99 - the shipping charge is £3.75.
    - Order products with a combined value of over £29 - the shipping charge is £1.99.

(The EU Shipping Zone has one flat rate charge).

Any ideas how I achieve this?

    Hi Mike

You would simply use "Total Value" in Actinic, in "View | Business Settings | Shipping and Handling". Here you would have two zones, UK and EU.

For the "UK" Zone, you would have the following in the grid.

    Order Value........Cost
    28.99................3.75
    29.00................1.99

In the EU zone you would simply have
    Order Value........Cost
    0.00................10.00

If ten pounds is the flat rate charge.

      Thanks Nadeem.

Seems like a good solution. In order to make this work, would I have to change any of the settings in this window. Ie "set excess to increment by 0.00" or "take highest value in table"?

        Hi there

I would put it as "Take highest value in table" for the EU zone and "Don't allow excess" for the UK Zone

        Kind Regards

I have set up the following rules for the UK Shipping Zone, as contained in the suggestions below:
          Order Value........Cost
          28.99................3.75
          29.00................1.99

          "Don't allow excess"

The correct shipping charge of £3.75 is applied to customers that order less than £29 of goods - as intended. However, when an order for £29+ is taken, the shipping charge does not fall to £1.99 as intended - instead no shipping charge is applied at all.

Is "Don't allow excess" the correct excess to use. Or should I be using something different to get the shipping charge to fall to £1.99 for orders over £29?

          Any ideas?
