disable alt tags

I have 10 products displayed on 1 page. Each product name contains the same keywords I am targetting for that page.

Apparently some Search Engines set a limit on the number of Alt tags containing keywords and penalise if it exceeds this.

Obviously Actinic places the name of the product into the Alt tag automatically, so I would like to disable some but not all of these 10 products and see if this makes a difference to our ranking.

edit the Act_ProductImage.html template and alter

ALT="NETQUOTEVAR:ALTERNATETEXT"

to

ALT="CUSTOMVAR:ALTERNATETEXT"

then create a CUSTOMVAR in Actinic called ALTERNATETEXT and specify your keywords against each product | properties
