    Adding to basket quantity problems

    If I clear the cookies from within my browser then add 1 item to the cart then choose to go back and add another item I receive an error message informing me that

    "You have already selected the maximum number of this item allowed. Please return to the catalog and amend your order."

    Have you set a maximum quantity allowed in the product details?

    Even though you are deleting your cookies it may be the session cookie on the server is remembering the order.

      the maximum quantity is set to 20 but I can't edit this field for some reason. I've tested this so many times that if there is a server cookie then I've probably exceeded 20 already.

      is there anyway I can have the cookie removed when the customer closes the browser window?

        Not sure why the field is greyed in the product quantity.

        There is another setting fro order quantity in business settings/ordering. It is down the bottom under misc.

        Have you got that box ticked?

        That could be the reason, the help says the product quantity will be disabled

          its when I have a filename in the Digital Download tab. If I remove this filename and refresh then I no longer get the quantity problem!?!

            With digitally downloadable products your customers are only ever going to download it once, so Actinic puts a restriction of '1' for the product quantity. Otherwise they could end up paying twice for a file they only download once!
