searching

is there any way of running a search that will search for part of a word instead of having to search for the full word.

e.g.
a product might have a code MS6700 but if a customer searches for just 6700, they will get no results. is there any way of changing this? I had a quick look in View - Search Settings but couldn't see anything relevant.
