    Promotion Code Patches or Modules???

Does anyone know if it is possible to install a promotion code box anywhere in the order process. I would like to be able to email certain customers with offers and allow them to recieve a discount when they do this.

As you can all understand, I dont want to give discounts to all customers, only the ones who qualify via the email Ill send.

I have just undertaken a development role in my new company, and this is the software they are currently using. It is probably a really obvious solution that Ive not seen yet.

Any input you can give me on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Also - Can I paste HTML direct into Actinic, so I can tabulate the content? I have noticed the tags in the text window, and Im assuming I can generate my pages in Dreamweaver, then copy the HTML in. Again any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Slightly Nervous, but endlessly optimistic.

If you go to the actinic support site at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/index.htm and look for documentation, you can find a design guide and an advanced guide specific to your version of Actinic. Read these and the starter guide available from the help menu - they will help you understand how it all works together.

Once you have read those, a search on this forum for the word "discount" will let you see the variety of further choices available.

    hope this helps

Many thanks for the information. I got somewhere earlier by going into the view>discounts.... - but there was no provision for a code. I may have to activate a module. I'll have a look at that link though and read right through.

Many thanks again for the input.

        Hi Dave

Could you use a not have a coupon code which will activate a discount on the store. Like have 10% off anything on the store?

Also - Can I paste HTML direct into Actinic, so I can tabulate the content? I have noticed the tags in the text window, and Im assuming I can generate my pages in Dreamweaver, then copy the HTML in. Again any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Yes you can put html code within the full description of the product. However you need to tell Actinic, where the code starts and where it stops. The following is an example

        !!<
        <img src="hello.gif">
        >!!
'!!<' tell Actinic, after this is html codes

'>!!' tell Actinic the html code has finished.
