    Dropdown list for prices V3.1

    Hi

    Lots of questions.

I have seen an option of a dropdown list for prices on another catalog site (Variation of same product but different price or same product same price but different specifications ie. color). Can this be done in V3 or did this only come in a later version. If it came in a later version. Which one and is it possible and worth to only upgrade to that version. My only concern would be cost!

Or is this possible to perhaps change any of the templates and can anybody help.

    Thanks

    Dirk

If is standard in the latest version, you just enter the options into the catalog and the HTML is generated.

In V4 you did it by adding HTML to your product description. I don't know whether you can do this in V3 but suggest looking the the advanced user guide for V3 for the solution.

[fx: checks a few old old directories and find the advanced user guide for V3]
My V3 is 3.5 so this may not work on yours, but it looks as if you can do this with V3, I have attached the V3 advacned user guide to this post. Look at the section called "Creating a drop down list with a range of options for the product" which is on page 17

You can do drop down boxes in V3 but you have to hand code.

Go to the download area on the actinic site and download the advanced user guide for V3, it contains full instructions for drop down boxes.

No I couldn't attach it to the list because even zipped up it was too big. If you send me an email to the address below I will email it over to you - or you can download it from the Actinic download site that Jo mentions.

You can email people on the board by going to their profiles and clicking on the email option unless they have opted not to receive email from the board (which you have). I have just sent a copy of the document to you at the address you gave above.
