Minor bug in offline orders?

When you place an offline order, and the item is a hidden item - ie, "Hide on website" is checked, the items reference number is not copied across - and when I entered that item, closed the order went across to the item in question to grab the correct reference number, I wasn't then able to edit the order line item reference #.

Surely this isn't "Works as Designed"?
