Item Discounts

Hi,

I want to give people 10% discount if they order over 20 of the same item.

Can this be done? I have looked at the discount section and it refers to cart value and not quantity value.

If you have Business or Developer under the product | prices tab add a new line and set the discounted price .... set the "min" value to 20

Sorry but im using Actinic Catalog and not business or developer

Check but I don't think that facility is available in Catalog.

One hack would be to create a new product beneath the original and set the price to x20 less the discount so when the buyer adds 1 to cart they receive a bundle of 20. Not nice and it may cause issues if you have stock monitoring

Good idea but could be come a bit messy....

Plus that would mean I would have to do that for 4000 products we have listed. :-(

Looks like the easiest option is to refund the customer 10% of there order.

Would have thought a discount option on the quantity ordered was common.

Yes it is common, but Quantity based discounting is a business feature for Version 6 and Version 7.
