Hi, I was looking at using the stock monitoring that actinic has, but found that as we sell shoes, we can't have stock per individual size and colour ? or am I missing something ?
Sorry, another thing I have a qustion on is, if we want to offer free shipping over a certain amount that is fine, but I only want this to apply to one shipping method, UK for instance, and not international, any ways of doing this ?
I have a product .. say a shoe. This product has 2 attributes, a size and a colour. Size has 5 choices, 3,4,5,6,7 and colour 3 choices, black, silver, gold.
I want to be able to know that we have 3 shoes in size 3 black in stock, and this to be updated if someone orders one.
Where would I add an associated product for each of these choices ?
Alternative, what I tend to do, is create a single line product that I sit beneath the product picture and description. This way I end up with something like:
I agree with Mike.
There isn't a way to choose size AND colour individually yet have the combined choice relate to the stock level of ONE associated product.
I have to list mine as Mike put above... with each choice being a size AND colour.
It's not pretty, tbh, but is the only way to do it.

Please be kind if I've misunderstood, but I think that you can do this.
1. Create a product, let's call it "Generic shoe" for now
2. Create a component below the product
3. Create attributes for Size and Colour, each below the component, create appropriate choices for each
4. Click on the component and then on the "permutation" tab click "Fill list".
5. Now associate the product (e.g. black size 8 shoe), which you've already created, with the appropriate row in the permutation tab. Repeat for each row.
6. Voila. Buyer chooses from colour and size drop-downs, and stock is monitored on the individual combinations.
Thanks chris,
This is something I had actually discovered after that last post and am gradually changing the website.
I've had some problems with the full options (atttribute choices) not displaying in the cart at times though, giving a misleading information to the customer but I think it's something I was doing wrong. I'm working on it!
