How do you check for virus on the web server

Call me a dumbo but

I have McAfee on my computer along with other virus and spyware software, But how do I check if there is any virus / spyware or cookies lurking on my web server itself.

Hiya Chris,

Assuming that you have a Web server with another company somewhere, it's their responsibility to perform virus checks and other maintenance procedures on the Web server. If they're any good at all, this should be getting done very regularly indeed.

Also, Web servers typically run on Linux (or variants), so do not have the same problems as Windows machines in terms of viruses/virii and being 'very hackable'.

If you have any doubts, either check their site for their policy on this, or contact them directly.
