6.1.4 to 6.1.5 on 2 PCs

Hi there,

we're using one PC (PC1) to maintain the site and one for downloading/order processing (PC2) - catalog

PC2 can't be upgraded until next week

I have installed the patch on PC1 and was about to upload when doubt set in.

Will PC2 encounter errors when downloading without the patch? Any other issues I should be aware of?

Hi Simon

Yes PC2 will encounter errors as there are different versions of the scripts. You would need to upgrade the download machine to 6.1.5.

Have upgraded both PCs - but PC1 won't upload error reported as:

'you do not have write permissions to the cgi or it does not exist'

it does exist - and the chmod settings are 755.

searched through the forums but can't find anything specific

grateful for any suggestions - would be great to sort it tonight

seems it would be unwise to download orders (PC2) as the site has not yet been updated via PC1.

therefore order processing is not possible.

hosts not available until tomorrow to verify everything is OK their end - but as nothing else (as far as I know) has changed it must be the update patch?

to recap: both PC have patch installed. PC1 won't upload due to cgi write permissions. CGI permissions checked via ftp - cgibin=755 and Acatalog=777. using catalog.
