Sending promotional emails to customers

I would like to send promotional emails to my regular customers to inform them of new products, special offers etc.

I have seen that I can 'send emails to all customers', but is it possible to use an html based email? If so, how would I go about templating it?

Any ideas?

Try this combination

First off you will need to get all of your customers out of actinic look at getting 'One Stop Marketing for Actinic' from mole end, this will export a file with all the email address's

I am not sure if you can email customers from that, if not I would get 'Mail Bomber' it is a great email tool that allows you to import lists and send html email. Have a good play around with it, I would recommend that you do text email as it will get around spam blockers and html email can be a pain.

Remember you must conform to spamming regulations, the email must have a method for unsubscribing, and really, you should look at how they opt in, for your first mail shot send a mail saying do you want to receive this? that way you build a legitimate list and don't annoy anyone.

I've tried using the actinic builtin export function to export all of the customer details (to get a list of email addresses) but it says that too many records have been selected.

Could you let me know if this plugin will let me export an unlimited number of records?

It will - the trial version is limited to 50 though.
