Error when updating website

Thanks to Olderscot for replying last time. When updating my website, just after the Sending Catalog files...step I always get the error message: "An error occured when merging files on the remote site. Error copying from "from" file." I refresh the website many time and all the permission on the server are ok. I think this error affects the search facility on my web. Has anyone have any suggestion, experienced the same problem? Delete all .cat and .fil files in site 1, then ftp to your website and go into the /acatalog/ folder. Again delete all .cat and .fil files, then refresh the site.
